Why are they dangerous?
The coconut has a hole at the bottom that some medium sized birds may get their head stuck in. Larger birds such as African greys, amazons, cockatoos, etc. are not at risk because of their larger head size. Smaller birds such as green cheek conures, cockatiels, Lineolated Parakeets, etc. are not at risk because of their smaller head size that can slip out easily.
Smaller species may use the coconut to nest if they are able to fit inside
